Exercise Management
Before conducting the exercise(s) EIMS will write, prepare and develop exercise objectives. This process involves consulting with the client to ensure that the exercise is customised to the organisation. This partnership enhances the participants learning and assists in transfering knowledge to the work place.
Exercises are held to test procedures and processes, evaluate equipment, to ensure staff understand their role during an incident, to provide the opportunity for staff to practise using their skills and become familiar with the processes invovled. It also provides an opportunity for partners to work together and understand expectations, the capabilities of stakeholders and to demonstrate the synergies that exist to provide a safe working environment for employees.
Exercises can take many and varied forms (desk top, discussion, hypothetical and field). Staff will meet with stakeholders to:- develop objectives; style the exercise to meet those objectives; resource and discuss the format of the exercise. At the completion of the exercise, sessions are held to ensure participants understand what your organisation knows, what it should know and review possible gaps.
